About Your Workplace
 

Join Miele’s Finance team during an exciting period of transformation as we implement SAP S/4HANA. As a Senior Accountant (Contract), you will play a critical role in maintaining business continuity, supporting core accounting functions and contributing to system and process improvements. This is a hands-on, dynamic role suited to someone who thrives in change, enjoys problem-solving and values collaboration across a large organisation.
 

Your Responsibilities
  • Financial reporting: support monthly and quarterly reporting, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analysis
  • Month-end close: perform reconciliations, accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Audit & compliance: assist with year-end statutory reporting, audit processes and tax compliance activities
  • Inventory & fixed assets: support accounting, controls and reconciliations across inventory and fixed asset registers
  • Systems & ERP support: contribute to SAP S/4HANA implementation activities, testing and system improvements
  • Process improvement: identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, controls and reporting timelines
  • Business partnering: collaborate with stakeholders across the business to provide insights and support decision-making

What We Are Looking For
Must-have:
  • CA/CPA qualification with post-qualified experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand accounting and tax requirements
  • Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams

Nice-to-have:
  • Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, S/4HANA, AS400 or similar)
  • Exposure to system implementations or transformation projects
  • Experience with inventory and fixed asset accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability
