About Your Workplace

Our Finance team plays a critical role as a trusted business partner, supporting decision-making, strengthening internal controls, and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
 

This role sits within our Accounts Receivable function and will be a key contributor during an exciting period of change, including the implementation of SAP S/4HANA. You’ll work closely with the Accounts Receivable Manager, Finance leaders, and key internal stakeholders to help optimise working capital and deliver a seamless customer experience.
 

Your Responsibilities
 

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts end-to-end, with a strong focus on credit risk, collections, and reconciliation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively managing credit risk by reviewing customer credit profiles, completing risk checks, and monitoring high-risk accounts
  • Driving effective collections activities to reduce debtor balances while meeting agreed KPIs and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Investigating and resolving disputed invoices, payment discrepancies, and customer queries in a timely manner
  • Performing account reconciliations, processing credits, returns, and adjustments to ensure accurate debtor ledgers
  • Partnering with Banking, Customer Contact Centre, and Business Partners to support accurate payment allocation and issue resolution
  • Preparing regular reporting on accounts receivable performance and risk exposure
  • Providing team support, mailbox management, and ad-hoc assistance as required, including during the SAP S/4HANA implementation

What We Are Looking For


Must-have skills and experience:

  • Strong working knowledge of accounts receivable, credit control, and collections processes
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused mindset
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP experience highly regarded)


Nice to have:

  • Exposure to system implementations or process improvement initiatives
  • Experience preparing AR or debtor reporting for business stakeholders
  • Confidence working with external debt collection agencies
